It’s never too late to exchange gifts with a white elephant, is it? That’s what Tokio Pub in Schaumburg thought, which is why the restaurant is hosting a four-course white elephant dinner from 6:15-8:15 p.m. on Monday, January 31. Here’s what you need to do: Bring a wrapped gift to be exchanged for a new gift. But keep in mind that whoever chooses a gift after you might steal your gift, which means you’ll have to choose a new one. And it spins again and again. For the meal itself, expect dishes such as crispy garlic tuna and barbecue eel guacamole sushi rolls, a chicken skewer with a chipotle-lime aioli sauce, a minced steak with a sauce of mushrooms and wasabi juice, and for dessert, a cherry cake with nuts, caramel sauce and whipped cream. Dinner is $64 per person. One must reserve.
